Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what Skail is, what it can see, and what it costs. Anything unanswered, email stream@goskail.com and a person reads it.

What is Skail?

Skail (pronounced “scale”) is the independent AI analyst for your Shopify ecosystem. It connects read-only to the platforms your store already uses (Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Ads), verifies every number at the source, and works as an always-on analyst: weekly and monthly briefs, an audit on demand whenever you want one, and a real-time chat you can ask anything. It tells you what is working, what is not, and the moves that make money. It is built by Alpha Digital, LLC, an ecommerce agency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Is Skail the same company as skail.ai?

No. Skail at goskail.com is an ecommerce analytics product for Shopify stores; that is the company this site describes. skail.ai is an unrelated company that offers an AI employee advocacy tool for B2B social media and email outreach. The two companies are not affiliated and do not share any products, ownership, or data.

What does the free audit include?

Connect your Shopify store and Skail runs a full read immediately: revenue, orders, average order value, repeat purchase behavior, and how they trend over time, with every number pulled live from your store. You get the audit as a written brief the moment it finishes. No card is required for the first audit.

Is Skail really read-only?

Yes. Every connection Skail makes requests read-only scopes. It never writes, edits, publishes, deletes, or changes anything in your Shopify store or any connected account. Skail observes and reports; it does not act.

Which platforms does Skail connect to?

Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics 4 connect today. Google Ads and Meta Ads come online as each platform clears its app review. The more of your ecosystem you connect, the deeper the analysis gets, because Skail reasons across platforms rather than reporting each one separately.

How is Skail different from an analytics dashboard?

Dashboards show you charts and leave the interpretation to you. Skail is an analyst: it reads the verified numbers across your whole ecosystem, reasons about what they mean together, and writes you the brief a senior analyst would, including the specific moves to make and the questions to ask your team. You read a page, not a wall of widgets.

Does Skail replace my agency or my marketing team?

No. Skail is the independent second opinion that keeps everyone honest, your agency included. It works for the store owner, verifies the numbers everyone reports, and hands you the questions worth asking. Many owners use it alongside an agency; some use it as their only analyst.

How much does Skail cost?

Your first audit is free with no card required. The paid plan is $99 USD per month and adds the monthly brief, weekly anomaly scans, strategic analysis that builds on your history, and Ask Skail, an analyst chat that knows your store. You approve the charge through Shopify and can cancel anytime.

Can Skail see my customers’ personal data?

Skail stores aggregates, not people. From Shopify it keeps order timestamps, order totals, and repeat-versus-new flags, rolled up into monthly and rolling-window metrics. It does not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, or customer IDs. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Why was Skail created?

Skail's founder has run Alpha Digital, a Shopify growth agency, for seven years. In almost every store the agency took over, the ecosystem was fragmented: email, ads, and analytics each reported their own numbers, the numbers disagreed, and nobody owned the whole. After hundreds of hand-done audits, the agency built an internal AI analyst that connects to everything, verifies every number at the source, and audits client ecosystems every week. Skail is that engine made available to every store owner. The full letter from the founder is at goskail.com/story.

Who builds Skail?

Skail is built and operated by Alpha Digital, LLC, a Shopify growth agency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It began as the internal audit engine the agency ran for its own clients and became a product store owners can point at their own ecosystem.
